The lid was manufactured by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield pre 1920s. The lid is ideal to be used as a plate or cheese cover. The lid is impressed underneath EP followed by JD & S in Gothic and the trumpet and banner symbols, then D152 7. The lid requires a polish and has a few surface scratches due to use, aside from which it is in good usable condition. .
