It is basically a hand held flashlight with a hanging loop that can plug into the standard period German automobile power outlet. It currently has a 6v bulb in it, but you could put a new bulb in it. The bulb base is a fairly common bulb type. It has a nice long cord so you can pretty much use it all around the vehicle. The glass on the front
