This BR-WR Alloy sealed release unit used by the signalman to override a track circuit during a failure which was preventing the points from being moved

This plate has had a matching piece of cast brass plate Silver soldered  into the left hand end surrounding the bolt hole

This plate is in excellent ex railway service condition and measures 6 3/8" X 5 1/2"

this lamp would have sat on the instrument shelf in Maesteg South signal box and  would have been used by the signalmen and fogsignalmen when appointed

There is damage to the right hand corner but otherwise good colour and shine
