This watercolor was painted at a beautiful Berkshire pond in the summer

superimposed with their shadows

I like the way the shadows of the real flowers fall on the watercolor and the viewer might not be able to tell where the real ones end and the painted ones begin

and occasionally I enjoy using the medium as if it were ink
