1920s Armorial "Arm & Sword" Signet Ring art nouveau The prongs of a belcherExcellent 1920s signet ring with an intaglio carved heraldic crest and Latin motto. The crest belongs to the Abel and Abell family (of Essex and Kent): an armour clad arm raised with sword in hand, over the words INVICTA VERITATE meaning "With invincible truth". Per Fairbairn's Book of Crests, the heraldic description reads: "an arm in armour embowed ppr., holding a sword arg., hilted." The ring is crafted in 18ct gold, and the size makes it wearable
